Hebridean Celtic Festival - Equal Opportunities Policy

The Festival recognises that in society, many types of discrimination may arise and is committed to achieving equal opportunities in all aspects of its work.

Our policy is that ticket holders, artists, staff and volunteers are able to participate and enjoy the Festival without discrimination.

The Hebridean Celtic Festival is committed to a policy of equal opportunities and encourages participation by all, irrespective of their age, gender, sexual orientation, marital or parental status, race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, social or economic status, care of dependants.

The Hebridean Celtic Festival also recognizes the commitment of volunteers as an active expression of citizenship and is committed to providing full access to our events for those who have impaired physical mobility.

This foregoing policy is reflected in the Festival’s organisational profile and the diversity of ethnic cultural roots found within the artistic content and the participants of the event.

This Hebridean Celtic Festival will also provide an Equal Opportunities Complaints Procedure within its rules for any entrant who believes that inequitable treatment within the scope of this policy has been applied to her or him, which will allow the person to raise the matter and have it considered by the committee.
